Parlor Snakes is a Franco-American duo (Eugénie Alquezar and Peter K) whose every album marks an evolution. From their rock'n'roll beginnings with forays into garage and dark psychedelia, they are now exploring a more ambient and icy rock. Their 4th album, 'Cut Shadows', combines guitars and synths in a dreamlike atmosphere. On stage, joined by Greg Demson and Mike Prenat, they alternate between ethereal passages and raw explosions.
FUGUE, or four childhood friends from the same village in the Oise region who preferred playing rock music to building tree houses. Now, as young adults, they've set their sights on the big leagues, faithful to the invigorating wave of post-punk that's sweeping across the current French scene. Having scratched the surface on Snowflake Symmetry, the time has come to soak it all up on their second EP. YELL is, as its title suggests, a cry from the heart with deeply humanist themes. Fugue is feisty, eager for independence, and proves it on these five new tracks that feel like a sensitive outlet.
